Based in the Scout Hut off Roberttown Lane, opposite the cricket field and behind houses 80 & 82, Roberttown Lane Pre-School is a committee led, charity run pre-school for children from 2 years to school age.

We offer funded places to qualifying 2 year olds and 30 hours free care for working parents.

We have been part of the Roberttown Community since 1985 and are staffed by experienced, well trained, qualified and caring practitioners.
Our aim at Roberttown Lane Pre-school is to provide a caring friendly environment which is safe and stimulating, where the children develop as individuals. We strive to build positive relationships with parents and carers and actively encourage parental involvement, regardless of race, culture, religion or means.
We pride ourselves on our philosophy of learning through play, giving every child the opportunity to access a wide range of age and ability appropriate experiences. Supported by adults and the EYFS we help them to develop and learn in their own style and at their own pace.
Our ultimate goal is to nurture the children in our care to enable them to fulfil their potential and help them to prepare intellectually, emotionally and socially for the next steps in their lives.
Our staff are all qualified and very experienced and more importantly are mums themselves so they know exactly what it is like for your little person – and for you as a parent.
As well as being Ofsted Registered 311342, we are part of the Pre-school Learning Alliance.

Examples of Costs:
1 9am to 3pm session would cost £24.60
3 morning sessions would cost £36.90
1 Pre Booked 8am to 4pm session would cost £30.60
Fees are payable ½ termly, monthly or weekly in advance, and can be paid by cash, cheque, bank transfer or standing order.
Childcare Vouchers:
Working parents can benefit from significant tax and NI savings each year by using Childcare Vouchers. Please enquire for details of the childcare vouchers we accept.
Free Places:
Children are eligible for 15 Government funded hours, free per week from the beginning of the term following their 3rd birthday (an additional 15 hours is available to working parents also). Any additional sessions are charged appropriately. Please enquire for more details.
We also now have a limited number of free funded 2 year old places, if you think you may be eligible please contact us for further information.

Meet the Staff
Janet Bolt
I have worked at Pre-school since 1998. I live in Roberttown and have 2 grown up children. My hobbies are playing Crown Green Bowls and both my children play cricket which I enjoy watching.
Qualifications:

Wendy Owen
I have worked at Pre-school since 2002. I have lived in Roberttown all my life and enjoy spending time with my daughter and her family. I am a keen Huddersfield Town supporter.

Angela Kuszyk
I have worked at Pre-School since 2008. I am married with 2 children and live in Cleckheaton. I have worked in a variety of childcare settings for 27 years. I enjoy reading and walking my dog.

Joanne Willans
I live in Roberttown with my daughter. I have over 20 years experience in Childcare during which time I have worked in America, for Local Authorities and managed Private Day Nurseries. I have worked at pre-school since 2012

Jardine Terry
Hi, my name is Jardine, I have lived in Roberttown village since 1999. I live with my husband and daughters. I have always had a good connection with children, and I enjoying helping them learn. I also enjoy reading, walking and crafts.
Level 2 certificate in an introduction to EY education & care. Parent partnership co-ordinator.
Michael Hodgson
Hi my name is Michael. I have lived in Roberttown since 2002 with my wife and teenage son. I enjoy working at pre school helping the children learn through play and develop new skills. I like to watch sports and movies.
